Dementia Care

Our holistic approach is centred on supporting each resident to experience moments of joy, calm, and fulfilment. Through a structured and nurturing environment, we help residents live each day with dignity, comfort, and an enhanced quality of life.

Creating a safe and soothing atmosphere is at the core of our dementia care philosophy. We understand the importance of an environment that nurtures comfort and security, which is why our care home is thoughtfully designed to support residents with cognitive challenges. Our approach includes:

Care That Nurtures Wellbeing, Purpose and Connection

An elderly man with white hair and beard wearing a colorful flower lei sits on a beige upholstered chair. He is looking down at an open brochure or menu in his hands. He is surrounded by others, with a woman on his left wearing a blue and green striped shirt and another person on his right wearing a blue sweater, all sitting on similar chairs in a cozy indoor setting.

Sensory Stimulation Activites

Engaging residents' senses through tactile experiences, aromatherapy, and visual stimulation to reduce agitation and improve well-being.

An elderly woman with white hair and a light blue sweater is sitting at a black outdoor table covered with plates, cups, and utensils, engaging in painting or craft activities. There are various art supplies, including brushes and paints, and she appears focused on her project. Another person is partially visible on the left side of the image, and the background features green foliage and a wooden orange fence.

Music sessions and creative art activities help stimulate cognitive function, improve mood, and offer emotional expression.

Music and Art Therapy

An elderly woman and a caregiver are engaging with a colorful jigsaw puzzle in a cozy, homey setting. The elderly woman is holding a puzzle piece, and both are focused on fitting pieces together.

Using photos and familiar objects to evoke positive memories, fostering social engagement and reducing confusion.

Reminiscence Therapy

Four elderly people sitting at a table inside a cafe with a large window in the background showing an outdoor scene with picnic tables and an airplane. They are having tea or coffee with small cakes on plates. One woman is smiling, a man in a black jacket is holding a piece of cake, and the women on the right are waving and talking.

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST)

Group-based activities like word games and puzzles to stimulate thinking, memory, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Exercise and Movement Therapy

Two elderly women with short hair, one with white hair and the other with blond hair, sit on a wooden bench by a lake, drinking wine and enjoying a peaceful moment surrounded by lush green trees.

Gentle exercises, such as chair yoga and walking, to enhance physical health, reduce anxiety, and promote well-being.

Personalised Cognitive Programs

Tailored activities that focus on residents' strengths, offering cognitive exercises and brain games in a supportive environment.
