Inwood House

Two women celebrating outdoors on a lawn, wearing Union Jack hats and holding small Union Jack flags. One woman is sitting in a wheelchair, and the other is sitting on a white plastic chair. There are additional Union Jack flags hung on a string behind them, with a garden, bushes, trees, and a historic house in the background.

Activities are a vital part of life at Inwood House because they offer numerous benefits that support both physical and emotional well-being. Engaging in activities helps residents maintain mental stimulation, which is crucial for cognitive health and memory retention, especially for those living with conditions like dementia. Participating in regular activities also combats feelings of loneliness and isolation by encouraging social interaction and creating opportunities for meaningful connections with others.

Two women are sitting at a table in a cafe, with one pouring tea from a blue and white teapot into a cup. The table has a small jar of sugar cookies, a bowl of butter, a plate with a slice of cake, and a number '45' sign. The women are wearing glasses and focused on the tea, with a background of indoor plants and a cozy setting.

From arts and crafts to music therapy and group games, we offer a wide range of activities that encourage creativity, cognitive function, and social connections. We also provide opportunities for physical exercise through gentle movement classes, walks in our secure garden areas, and chair yoga, all of which are tailored to residents' abilities to help maintain mobility and promote overall health. Additionally, our program includes educational workshops, where residents can explore new interests and learn new skills such as gardening, cooking, or even technology basics, enhancing their sense of achievement and personal growth.
